2. Information We Collect

Bottletrix may process the following categories of information.

2.1 Account information

When you create or use a Bottletrix account, we may process:

• email address;
• email/password authentication credentials (passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are not stored by Bottletrix in plain text);
• Google Sign-In authentication information when you choose Google Sign-In;
• Firebase Authentication user ID (UID);
• information necessary to complete password reset via Firebase Authentication.

We use this information to create and maintain your account, authenticate you, reset access when requested, and associate your Bottletrix data with your account.

2.2 Bottle and inventory data

Bottletrix may store information that you provide when managing your bar inventory, including:

• bottle name and related bottle metadata;
• bottle capacity;
• bottle profile and calibration information;
• inventory status;
• bottle-related measurements;
• remaining liquid amount and percentage;
• inventory sessions;
• measurement history.

This information is used to provide the core Bottletrix inventory and bottle-scanning functionality. Inventory and related records may be stored locally and synchronized to Cloud Firestore associated with your Firebase UID.

2.3 Photos and media

Bottletrix may process photographs and related media that you take or select for bottle profiles, calibration, scanning, and related functionality.

These may include:

• photographs of empty bottles;
• photographs of full bottles;
• preview images and mask media used for bottle profiles;
• photographs used for scanning and liquid-level estimation (scan photos).

Depending on the application's synchronization state, such media may be stored locally on your device (including local media files) and/or synchronized to Firebase Storage associated with your Bottletrix account.

2.4 On-device estimation

Bottle and liquid-level estimation uses on-device processing (including on-device machine-learning / YOLO-based processing where applicable). Images used for estimation are not sent to a separate external AI/ML API for analysis.

Synchronized photos stored in Firebase Storage are used for inventory, history, and application functionality—not for analysis by a separate third-party AI image service.

2.5 Application settings

Bottletrix may store settings that you choose, such as:

• bar name and other bar-related settings;
• language preferences;
• measurement units;
• application preferences (including local device preferences where applicable).

Settings may be stored locally (including in the local Isar database and related local storage) and/or synchronized to Cloud Firestore.

2.6 Subscription and purchase information

If you purchase a Bottletrix Pro subscription, Bottletrix may process information necessary to manage your subscription and verify your entitlement, including:

• subscription plan and product identifier;
• subscription status and expiration information;
• purchase token or other purchase-related information required for verification;
• export usage and related entitlement information.

On Android, payments and purchases are processed through Google Play. Bottletrix may perform server-side entitlement validation (via Cloud Functions and Google Play services) using purchase-related information. Bottletrix does not receive or store your full payment card number.

App Store / iOS in-app purchase billing is not described here as a currently implemented billing path.

2.7 Technical and device-related information

Bottletrix may process technical information necessary to operate the application and synchronize your data, including:

• Firebase Authentication UID;
• an install / device UUID generated locally on first use, stored locally (including in SharedPreferences), used for synchronization and device identity, and which may be stored with cloud records and used for Android Firebase Cloud Messaging device registration;
• local application database data (Isar) and local media files;
• synchronization status;
• connectivity status required for synchronization.

Bottletrix does not request access to your precise location and does not collect precise location data.

2.8 Push notifications (Android)

On Android, Bottletrix may use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to obtain a push notification token. The token, together with platform and device/install identifier information, may be stored in Firebase (including Cloud Firestore) and used for service or admin notifications where applicable.

FCM registration in the current application implementation is Android-focused; iOS push registration is not described here as currently enabled.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• create and authenticate your Bottletrix account;
• provide the Bottletrix application and its features;
• store and synchronize your inventory data;
• process bottle measurements and on-device scanning-related information;
• maintain your bottle profiles and measurement history;
• provide inventory sessions and related functionality;
• provide CSV / accountant report export functionality;
• manage Free and Pro subscription entitlements;
• verify purchases and subscriptions;
• enforce applicable usage limits;
• show advertising on the Free plan where applicable;
• synchronize your data between supported devices;
• deliver applicable push notifications on Android;
• maintain application security and prevent unauthorized access;
• process account deletion requests;
• provide support and respond to privacy or account-related requests.

4. Services and Third-Party Providers

Bottletrix uses third-party infrastructure and services necessary to provide its functionality.

Firebase / Google

Bottletrix uses Firebase services provided by Google, including:

• Firebase Authentication;
• Cloud Firestore;
• Firebase Storage;
• Firebase Cloud Functions;
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android).

These services may process account information, inventory data, measurements, photographs, subscription-related information, push tokens, device/install identifiers, and other information described in this Privacy Policy.

Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in using Google, Google may provide authentication and account information necessary to authenticate your Bottletrix account.

Google Play

If you purchase a Bottletrix Pro subscription through Google Play, Google Play processes the payment and provides purchase information necessary for subscription verification and management. Bottletrix may validate entitlements server-side using Google Play-related APIs.

Bottletrix does not store your full payment card information.

Google Mobile Ads / AdMob

On the Free plan, Bottletrix may use Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to show advertising (App Open ads). Google may process advertising-related information as described in Section 7 and in Google's applicable advertising and privacy documentation. Pro users should not receive advertising.

Support website

The Bottletrix support page on this website helps you contact us by email. The mobile application opens the support page in an external browser or application; the application does not currently send support messages to a Bottletrix server-side support API or backend.

5. Data Synchronization and Local Storage

Bottletrix is designed to support offline use.

Some information may be stored locally on your device—including in a local Isar database, local media files, and SharedPreferences—so that the application can continue to function when an internet connection is unavailable.

When synchronization is available, applicable account data may be synchronized with our Firebase backend (including Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage).

Your Bottletrix account data is associated with your Firebase user ID so that your data can be separated between accounts and synchronized for the appropriate user.

Logout is not the same as account deletion. Signing out ends your local authenticated session for that account but does not delete your cloud inventory data or remove your account. Local inventory data may also remain on the device after logout.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share your personal information with unrelated third parties for their independent advertising purposes outside the advertising services used to show ads in Bottletrix itself.

Information may be processed by service providers that operate infrastructure necessary for Bottletrix, including Firebase/Google services, Google Play, and Google Mobile Ads / AdMob (for Free-plan advertising), as described in this Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information where required by applicable law or where necessary to protect the security, rights, or property of Bottletrix, our users, or others.

7. Advertising and Analytics

Advertising (Free plan): Bottletrix currently uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to show advertising to Free-plan users. The current implementation uses App Open advertising only. Bottletrix does not currently use Banner, Interstitial, Rewarded, or Native ad formats.

Pro plan: Pro users should not receive advertising. Advertising is part of the Free plan commercial model.

Consent and platform settings: Where applicable, Bottletrix uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present consent choices related to advertising. On iOS, Bottletrix uses App Tracking Transparency (ATT) where applicable. Advertising-related processing may depend on your consent choices and applicable platform or device privacy settings.

Fail-closed behavior: Where required consent or platform authorization is not obtained, advertising is limited accordingly (including not requesting or showing ads in a manner that depends on that consent or authorization). Core inventory and scanning functionality remains available on the Free plan regardless of advertising status.

When ads are shown, Google Mobile Ads / AdMob may process advertising-related technical information (which may include advertising identifiers and similar device or ad-serving signals) according to Google's advertising services and your applicable privacy choices. Bottletrix does not invent or expand advertising data practices beyond what is necessary for this AdMob App Open implementation.

Analytics: Bottletrix does not currently use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or other third-party product analytics SDKs such as Sentry, Mixpanel, PostHog, or Amplitude.

If advertising formats, analytics, or crash-reporting services change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and application data while your account remains active, or until you delete your account, subject to exceptions that may be required or permitted under applicable law (for example, where retention is necessary for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes).

You may request deletion of your Bottletrix account and associated data as described below.

9. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Bottletrix account.

Bottletrix provides an account deletion function within the application where available. When an account deletion request is completed successfully, the deletion process is designed to remove associated application data, including:

• your Firebase Authentication account;
• your Cloud Firestore user data tree;
• your Firebase Storage objects associated with the account;
• subscription / commercial binding data associated with the account;
• owner-scoped local application data (including applicable Isar data and local media for that account).

What may remain locally after account deletion:

• the local install / device UUID may remain on the device;
• certain local device preferences (DevicePrefs), such as UI sort/filter preferences, may remain.

Logout ≠ account deletion. Logging out does not delete your Bottletrix account or erase your cloud inventory data.

Certain information may also be retained where retention is required by applicable law or is otherwise necessary for legitimate legal or security purposes.

10. Support

In the Bottletrix application, Support & Feedback opens the Bottletrix support page athttps://bottletrix.com/support/.

The support page uses email / mailto tosupport@bottletrix.com. The application does not currently send support messages to a Bottletrix server-side support API or backend.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

These measures include account-based access controls, authenticated access to cloud data, server-side authorization for sensitive commercial operations, and access controls for user-specific stored data.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include:

• requesting access to your personal information;
• requesting correction of inaccurate information;
• requesting deletion of your personal information;
• requesting restriction of certain processing;
• objecting to certain processing;
• requesting information about how your data is processed.

13. Children's Privacy

Bottletrix is not directed to children and is intended for users aged 18 and older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

14. International Data Processing

Bottletrix uses infrastructure provided by Google and its Firebase services. Depending on your location and the configuration of these services, your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your country of residence.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards will be used for applicable international data transfers.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Bottletrix, our services, legal requirements, or data processing practices.

When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
